Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a meeting with leaders of all parties via video conferencing today, on the COVID-19 situation in the country.
The PM stated that the situation in the country is similar to a ‘social emergency’ due to which tough decisions must be made and all should continue to remain vigilant to combat the pandemic. “States, District administrations and Experts have suggested extension of Lockdown to contain spread of the virus,” the PM stated during interaction with MPs.
PM said the entire world is currently facing grave challenge of COVID-19 and that one must evolve to counter the impact. He praised efforts of the states working together with the Centre in fight against the pandemic.\
The Prime Minister is scheduled to hold a video conference with all Chief Ministers on April 11.
