Siliguri, 27th May: Amid the fourth phase of the lockdown, the NBSTC inter-district bus service resumed operations in Siliguri since Wednesday morning. Several buses left for different districts including Cooch Behar, Jalpaiguri, North Dinajpur, and South Dinajpur. Besides, a bus has also left for Mirik, this morning.
According to NBSTC authorities, a bus will also leave for Kolkata this evening. Every bus driver has been given PPE kit and masks for safety reasons. Strict surveillance will be kept to ensure that social distance is being maintained among passengers. Besides, the passengers were spotted boarding the bus after being thermally screened.
