Rajganj, 02nd August: The road leading to Rajganj Rural Hospital has been in a dilapidated condition for an extended period, causing great distress to the locals. Despite numerous pleas to the administration, the road repair work remains pending, leaving the residents frustrated. As a last resort, the locals resorted to a demonstration, staging a road blockade to demand immediate repair of the crucial route.
Since this morning, local residents have been protesting by blocking the road that leads to Rajganj Rural Hospital in the Pani Kauri area. Another group of protesters staged a blockade at Harihar High School More on the Hati More to Ambari state highway. The demonstrators emphasized that the deteriorating state of the road has led to numerous road accidents, resulting in loss of life and property. Repeated efforts to contact the administration regarding the road repair demand have only yielded promises without any concrete action. Frustrated by the lack of response, the locals decided to stage the road blockade today, urging the authorities to take immediate action and address their concerns.
Upon receiving news of the protest, the police from Ambari Outpost arrived at the scene. However, the agitated crowd shrouded the police, vehemently expressing their grievances. After assurances from the engineer of Rajganj BDO officer, the locals finally dispersed and removed the roadblock.
