Siliguri, 29th July: In a heartwarming incident, the NJP (New Jalpaiguri) Police successfully rescued a missing non-verbal and hearing-impaired minor and reunited him with his family. Abhijeet Barman, a young resident of Chopra, had mysteriously disappeared from his home on Thursday, leaving his worried family desperate to find him.
As soon as Abhijeet’s family realized he had been missing for an extended period, they promptly filed a missing complaint at the Chopra police station. Acting swiftly, the officers at Chopra police station shared the minor’s photographs with different police stations, hoping for a lead that would help locate him.
Meanwhile, in the Pani Kauri area of Rajganj, vigilant locals spotted a child wandering aimlessly and immediately informed the police. The NJP police, following up on the tip, conducted a thorough investigation and soon discovered that the child was none other than the missing Abhijeet Barman from Chopra. The NJP Police acted swiftly and informed the minor’s relatives about his safe discovery.
On Friday evening, the anxious family members rushed to the NJP police station upon receiving the news. Their joy knew no bounds as they were finally reunited with Abhijeet.
