Kharibari, 18th January: MLA Sunil Tirkey and other local activists met the family of the Kharibari rape victim. They interacted with the victim’s family and assured to provide all possible help in the coming days. Garments and financial aid were also handed over to the family members.
MLA Sunil Chandra Tirkey, Buraganj region president Sadananda Roy, Arvind Bhattacharya, Santosh Sinha, and many others were present.
Santosh Singh, executive president of the Raniganj Anchal Committee, said that assurance has been given to the victim’s family members. Besides, garments and financial help were also provided. Following this, severe punishment for the culprits has been demanded at Kharibari police station.
MLA Sunil Chandra Tirkey said that the accused should be severely punished so that such incidents do not repeat in the future.
