Cooch Behar, July 12th: The Bamanhat area of Dinhata was engulfed in terror after the discovery of a live bomb. It is to be noted that violence and loss of life have persisted in Dinhata, located in the Cooch Behar district, throughout the Panchayat election process in the state. Within a few hours of the ballot counting, tension resurfaced once again.
According to reports, residents of the Mahadeberpat area, part of Bamanhat-1 Gram Panchayat (GP) in Dinhata Block-2, stumbled upon a live bomb. The locals immediately alerted the police about the finding. Upon receiving the information, the Dinhata police promptly arrived at the scene and successfully recovered the explosive device. Presently, the matter is under investigation by the police.
