Alipurduar, 15th January: A leopard was trapped in a cage placed by the forest department in Section No. 5 of Beech Tea Garden in the Kalchini block of Alipurduar district.
According to sources, the workers spotted the leopard in the cage, this morning. The forest department was immediately informed about the incident. Upon receiving the news, the forest personnel of the Nilpara Forest Range arrived at the spot, recovered the leopard and took it to Jaldapara.
