Jalpaiguri, 10th July: Panic spread in the Guabari area under Pata Gram Panchayat of Jalpaiguri district after reports of a leopard sighting on Thursday morning.
According to local sources, a resident spotted the leopard while grazing cattle early in the day. The news quickly spread, triggering fear among villagers.
Forest department officials rushed to the spot after receiving the alert and have begun patrolling the area in search of the leopard. Officials have also urged residents to remain cautious and avoid venturing out alone.
