Alipurduar, 13th May: Sensation prevailed after a leopard carcass was recovered from Jayanti Tea Garden in Hatipota Range of Alipurduar district.
It has been learned that the female workers sighted the carcass of a leopard when they went to work in the tea garden on Thursday afternoon. Following which, the incident was reported to the Hantipota Range.
Upon receiving the news, the forest workers reached the spot and recovered the carcass. An autopsy will be carried out to determine the cause of the animal’s death.
