Siliguri, 02 January: The Left Front organized a rally in support of various demands including elections in Siliguri Municipal Corporation and sub-divisional council, security of livelihood of poor people, abnormal price hike of essential commodities. Reportedly, the programme will continue till January 10.
The said rally was attended by Ashok Bhattacharya, chairperson of Board of Administrators at Siliguri Municipal Corporation, CPI(M) district secretary Jibesh Sarkar, Ward No. 46 coordinator Mukul Sengupta, other leaders and a large number of activists and supporters.
