Siliguri, 24th June: In a significant crackdown on the illegal liquor trade, the Pradhan Nagar police station conducted a raid in the Rajendra Nagar area, recovering a large quantity of Indian and foreign liquor.
Reportedly, acting on a tip-off, the undercover officers from the Pradhan Nagar police station launched the operation on Sunday night at a house in Ward No. 01 under Siliguri Municipal Corporation (SMC). The raid uncovered an illegal liquor business, leading to the seizure of liquor valued between 50,000 to 60,000 rupees.
Despite the successful seizure, the owner of the house managed to escape. The police have launched a search to apprehend the suspect.
