Siliguri, 02nd August: Incessant rainfall for the past few days triggered a landslide near Birik Dara on National Highway 10. Due to the landslide, the connectivity was cut off between Siliguri, Gangtok and Kalimpong. Furthermore, traffic came to a standstill and many vehicles were stuck along the road.
Reportedly, a team of disaster management and traffic police immediately commenced the work of clearing the debris. As of now, the road has been open for small vehicles.
