Alipurduar, 10th August: A recent landslide in Buxa Hill has left hundreds of residents trapped, as the road leading to Buxa Fort has collapsed following days of heavy rain. The landslide has severed communication between the hill villages and the plains, cutting off access to essential services.
The affected areas include villages such as Buxa, Adama, Tashi Gaon, and Lepchakha, where residents are now completely isolated. The current situation has caused significant concern among villagers, who remain awake at night, worried about how they will transport sick patients to medical centers and ensure their survival in the days ahead.
