Naxalbari, 11th July: The Land and Land Revenue Department took action to demolish the walls of illegally erected tin houses along the national highway.
Authorities in Naxalbari conducted the demolition of these unauthorized constructions on government land on Thursday.
A total of 1.61 acres of encroached land in Barajharu Jote, Hatighisa, was reclaimed during the operation. Additionally, two government boards were installed to mark the recovered area.
BLLRO (Block Land and Land Reforms Officer) Biplab Haldar confirmed the recovery of 1.61 acres of land and stated that the campaign to reclaim illegally occupied government properties would continue in the coming days.
