Jalpaiguri, 23rd April: Tea Workers joint Forum Committee leader Ziaul Alam during a meeting with the Jalpaiguri District Magistrate alleged that COVID-19 patients are dying due to a lack of basic facilities and oxygen.
Reportedly, various labour leaders held a meeting with the District Magistrate today, regarding the COVID-19 situation in the Jalpaiguri district. They raised various demands for the improvement of COVID-19 treatment.
Addressing the media, labour leader Ziaul Alam said that the administration informed him regarding a shortage of COVID vaccine. As a result, people are not being able to get vaccinated. He called for the provision of vaccination to all the citizens at the earliest.
