KPP Central Committee members hold press conference, accuse expelled leader Budharu Roy

Siliguri, 29th March: The KPP Central Committee members held a press conference at the Siliguri Journalists Club on Saturday, leveling multiple allegations against expelled party leader Budharu Roy.

According to reports, Budharu Roy has allegedly called for a meeting at Medical More in Siliguri on March 30, which the committee claims is against the organization’s rules. It is noted that Budharu Roy was expelled from KPP during the Lok Sabha elections.

Following his expulsion, the Election Commission was informed, and Adhir Chandra Roy was appointed as the new president. However, Budharu Roy has now planned a meeting with KPP members without obtaining permission from the party president. In response, KPP Central Committee members strongly criticized him during the press conference.

The committee members warned that any KPP member attending the unauthorized meeting on Sunday would face disciplinary action.

Meanwhile, in a phone statement, Budharu Roy claimed that he was not officially informed about his expulsion as per party rules. He emphasized that he is one of the founders of KPP and urged party leaders to engage in discussions if there were any issues. He further clarified that the upcoming meeting was not solely his initiative but was called by other central committee members of the party.
