Kharibari Block Congress protests at police station, submits memorandum of demands

Kharibari, 19th October: Following a program announced by the Pradesh Congress, the Kharibari Block Congress surrounded the Kharibari police station and submitted a memorandum outlining their demands.


After marching from the Kharibari Block Congress office, Congress leaders and activists demonstrated in front of the police station, where they presented a memorandum detailing seven specific demands.

Block President Alok Kumar Roy emphasized the need for serious attention to complaints of women’s torture and rape, insisting that the police must act according to the law rather than political affiliations. He also urged the police to take a proactive stance against the smuggling of drugs and sand in the Kharibari area.
