Siliguri, 05th April: Kamta Rajbanshi Parishad has extended support to Trinamool Congress (TMC) candidates from all the centers of North Bengal for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. On Friday, the members of the organization revealed the information through a press conference at Siliguri Journalists Club.
As per details received, after over seven decades of independence, issues exist within the Rajbanshi community of North Bengal. During the conference, Kamta Rajbanshi Parishad President Rahul Barman claimed that the TMC government has always considered about the development of the Rajbanshi community. Keeping that in mind, he on behalf of the Parishad is supporting TMC in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
Reportedly, the Parishad has further discussed the matter with the state leaders of TMC. During this, the state leaders were informed about the ten-point demands including development of the Rajbanshi area, protection of Rajbanshi culture, improvement in education system and others. In this regard, the leaders of Kamta Rajbanshi Parishad anticipate that the TMC government would fulfil the demands of the organisation.
