Alipurduar, 30th October: The tea garden workers of the Kalchini Tea Estate in the Alipurduar district of Dooars joined a protest by encircling the tea estate management demanding their overdue payment.
As per reports, the workers of Kalchini Tea Estate have double wage arrears. On Monday morning, the workers gathered in front of the factory of the tea estate and surrounded the manager, demanding payment of their wage arrears.
The workers asserted that their wages were overdue and accused the authorities of not paying them on time. They further insisted on being paid as quickly as possible.
