Kailash Kandoi assumes presidency of Bharat Vikas Parishad Siliguri Branch

Siliguri, 12th May: In a significant development, Kailash Kandoi has assumed the presidency of the Bharat Vikas Parishad Siliguri Branch. The growth was witnessed during the branch’s Annual General Meeting and Foundation Day held at a local hotel on Church Road.


According to reports, Rajendra Kumar Gupta, the former President, formally transferred the responsibilities of the 2024-26 term to Kailash Kandoi. The event was marked by cultural performances and spiritual invocations. The event witnessed esteemed guests including SSB North Bengal IGP Sudhir Kumar, Suman Singh from ‘Sakhi’ NGO, Bihar, and Dr. Balmiki Kumar, Joint Secretary, Eastern Region of Bharat Vikas Parishad.

During the program, the branch secretary highlighted the achievements of the previous term, which included the distribution of Tulsi saplings, tree plantation drives, and various social initiatives conducted under the Bharat Vikas Parishad banner. Notably, a public ‘Mahayagya’ was successfully organized at Shri Krishna Pranami Temple in Siliguri during the Pran Pratishtha ceremony in Ayodhya’s Ram Mandir on January 22, with over 10,000 participants.
