Phansidewa, 22nd April: The onset of Kaal Baisakhi has wreaked havoc, causing damage to electricity poles and houses during the first phase of the year. Recently, on Friday night, a tree fell on a house in Mangachh of Phansidewa, leading to injuries for one individual. The injured person was immediately rescued and transported to North Bengal Medical College and Hospital, while the house sustained significant damage.
Additionally, in Madan Jote of Kharibari, a fallen tree damaged an electric pole, causing a complete blackout in the surrounding area. The incident also resulted in numerous broken electric wires, causing inconvenience to the locals.
