Jyotsnamoyee Girls’ High School celebrates 98th foundation day in Siliguri

Siliguri, 29th January: Jyotsnamoyee Girls’ High School celebrated its 98th foundation day on Thursday with a formal programme at the school campus. The event was attended by Mayor Gautam Deb, Primary Council Chairman Dilip Roy, the school’s headmistress, former teachers, local councillors, and other distinguished guests.


Students and teachers organised a cultural programme to mark the occasion. The guests praised the institution’s long-standing educational tradition and the achievements of its students over the years.

Headmistress Banani Roy said that the school will complete 100 years in two years and preparations for the centenary celebrations have already begun from the 98th year. She stated that the aim is to make the centenary programme a complete success with the active participation of the school’s students.


She also added that multiple plans have been taken up to improve the quality of education, ensure the all-round development of students, and further strengthen the school’s heritage in the coming years.
