Rajganj, 26th November: A shocking incident of violence against a journalist has created widespread outrage in Rajganj. On Monday late night, journalist Sudip Biswas was allegedly dragged from his home and brutally assaulted by Tanmay Roy and Deep Dey, with Pankaj Das reportedly present during the attack.
The victim reported that one of the attackers struck him on the head and various parts of his body with a metal object, leaving him seriously injured and in critical condition.
The entire incident was reportedly captured on nearby CCTV cameras, providing footage of the attackers’ movements and the assault, which has already been handed over to the police.
Following the attack, the journalist filed a complaint at the Bhorer Alo Police Station late Monday night. Police have begun investigating and are reviewing the CCTV footage to track down the assailants.
The incident has sparked strong anger among journalists and local residents, who have demanded the immediate arrest of the accused and strict punishment for the attackers.
