Rajganj, 07th January: Under the aegis of Jalpaiguri District Police and Rajganj Police, today, the “Jan Sampark” program was organized in a tea garden in the Sannyasikata Gadra area of Rajganj. Furthermore, through this program, Jalpaiguri Superintendent of Police Biswajit Mahto, Rajganj MLA Khageswar Roy distributed blankets to around 250 needy people in the area.
Speaking on the occassion, SP Biswajit Mahato said that the program was organized to interact with the common people living in the tea garden area and listen to their grievances. Also, blankets were distributed among the needy to help them keep warm during the chilly winter. He said that on the initiative of the district police, the “Jan Sampark” program will be organized in different villages of the area in the coming days as well.
Apart from the SP Mahto, Additional Superintendent of Police Sandeep Sen, Additional District Magistrate Tejasvi Rana, Jalpaiguri District Council Chairperson Uttara Barman, Rajganj MLA Khageswar Roy, Rajganj Panchayat Samiti President Purnima Rai and others were also present.
