Jammu and Kashmir, 20th January: Three terrorists were gunned down during an encounter in the Shopian district of Jammu and Kashmir. Based on a tip-off, the encounter took place on Monday after security forces initiated a cordon and search operation in the district.
Meanwhile, a police official stated that when the terrorists were asked to surrender, they opened fire which eventually led to the encounter. Also, the Kashmir Zone police said that the security forces have recovered arms and ammunition.
