Jalpaiguri, 05th March: Sensation prevailed after a student, identified as Dolly Das, was killed in a road accident that occurred in Jalpaiguri’s Debnagar area, on Thursday evening.
The deceased’s classmate Shilpi Das stated that Dolly was on her way back home from school, during which, a dumper truck hit her, killing her on the spot.
After the incident, the agitated locals staged a protest by blocking the road.
Upon receiving the news, the Jalpaiguri Kotwali Police reached the spot and brought the situation under control.
The Police have launched an investigation into the incident.
