Jalpaiguri, 10th May: Under the initiative of the Jalpaiguri Press Club, 1500 masks and 900 soaps were distributed among the pedestrians on Sunday. Besides, COVID-19 awareness campaigns were also held.
Club Secretary Shantanu Kar stated that the Jalpaiguri Press Club is regularly taking various initiatives to deal with the pandemic.
As per the report, masks and soaps were distributed among newspaper sellers, children, laborers, and many other pedestrians in various parts of the city. More such initiatives will be reportedly taken in the entire lockdown period.
