Jalpaiguri MP visits Ambari and Belakoba Railway stations in Rajganj

Rajganj, 03rd January: Jalpaiguri MP Jayanta Kumar Roy paid a visit to the Ambari and Belakoba railway stations in Rajganj and interacted with the locals and railway authorities.


According to reports, the area between Siliguri and Jalpaiguri is highly populated and the travelers solely depend on the train journey to travel to their destinations. As a result, there has long been prolonged demand for infrastructure expansion, including long-distance train stoppages at Ambari, Belakoba, and Raninagar railway stations. In addition to inspecting the railway stations, the MP informed the civilians of discussing their concerns with the officials of the Ministry of Railways and striving to resolve the problems.

In this regard, MP Jayant Kumar Roy stated that the railway station in Rajganj block had multiple train stops. However, during the lockdown due to the pandemic, the stations were temporarily shut down. Subsequently, the public demanded stoppage for long-distance trains, drinking water facilities, and lavatories. The MP further expressed that his visit to the railway stations helped him understand the numerous prospects of infrastructure required. In alignment with the requirements, the issues will be examined with the authorities of the Ministry of Railways and endeavored to come up with a solution.
