Siliguri, 12th March: Before the fifth phase polling in Darjeeling and Jalpaiguri districts on April 17, Jalpaiguri District Magistrate (DM) Moumita Godara Basu, Siliguri Police Commissioner DP Singh, and other police officials inspected the polling stations in Siliguri under Jalpaiguri district, on Friday.
Reportedly, they inspected Samarnagar Primary School and the booths in Kholachand Fapri, Iskcon Mandir, and Ashighar areas of Jalpaiguri district. Besides, the DM also interacted with the locals to boost their morale. Discussions regarding security arrangements were also held.
DM Moumita Godara Basu said that various booths in the Jalpaiguri district are being inspected. She further stated that they also interacted with the new voters and the ones who have not made it to the new voter list yet have been requested to register soon.
