Jalpaiguri, 01st April: In view of the Coronavirus outbreak, the Jalpaiguri District Divisional Commissioner Ajit Ranjan Bardhan held a meeting along with the Alipurduar and Jalpaiguri Tea Garden authorities.
Jalpaiguri Divisional Commissioner Ajit Ranjan Bardhan, Jalpaiguri District Magistrate Abhishek Tiwari and Jalpaiguri District Police Superintendent Abhishek Modi and many other dignitaries were present during the meeting.
As per the report, hundreds of tea garden workers of Jalpaiguri and Alipurduar recently returned from other states. Keeping in mind their safety, all the tea garden hospitals under the State Government have been made quarantine centers.
Commissioner Ajit Ranjan Bardhan stated that various discussions were held with the garden authorities during the meeting. He further stated that all the problems will be reported to the State Government and a settlement shall be provided soon.
