Siliguri, 26th January: On the occasion of Republic Day, the Jalpaiguri Byabasayee Samiti distributed blankets to the underprivileged.
The event saw the participation of Biplab Rai Muhuri, General Secretary of the Greater Siliguri Retail Byabasayee Samiti, Bapi Bhattacharya, Secretary of the Jalpaiguri Byabasayee Samiti, and other members.
Around several hundred blankets were distributed to those in need. Bapi Bhattacharya, Secretary of the Association, mentioned that the flag-hoisting ceremony was held first, followed by the distribution of blankets. He emphasized that the Jalpaiguri Byabasayee Samiti regularly organizes social welfare activities and assured that more such initiatives will be carried out in the future.
