Siliguri, 09th February: The Jalpai More Traffic Guard has launched an anti-encroachment drive on Burdwan Road in Siliguri, successfully clearing the footpath of encroachments. As part of this campaign, items blocking the footpaths were removed, and vehicles that were illegally parked were also towed away.
During the operation, the officer-in-charge of the Jalpai More Traffic Guard issued warnings to individuals violating the rules, stating that strict action would be taken against anyone found encroaching again. Traffic violations, including illegal parking, would lead to fines being imposed.
It is important to note that the encroachment on footpaths has been causing significant inconvenience to pedestrians on Burdwan Road. Additionally, illegal parking has been contributing to traffic congestion. In an effort to resolve these issues, the Jalpai More Traffic Guard has initiated this campaign.
