Siliguri, 15th March : A special cricket tournament was organised at Dadabhai Sporting Club ground in Siliguri on the initiative of Jagwani family.
According to reports, a total of five teams participated in the competition. The tournament was specifically organised for non-professional cricketers aged 30 years and above.
Many individuals engaged in different professions often find it difficult to make time for sports. Gopal Jagwani, a member of the Jagwani family, stated that this initiative was undertaken keeping this issue in mind. He explained that the main objective of the tournament was to bring together busy members of society through sports and create an atmosphere of joy and camaraderie among them.
Meanwhile, Shubhankhar Sen, one of the participants in the tournament, praised the initiative. He stated that due to professional commitments many people are unable to play sports on a regular basis, and such events provide them with an opportunity to return to the field and enjoy the game.
The tournament created an enthusiastic atmosphere at the ground as participants came together to celebrate the spirit of cricket.
