Siliguri, 21st February: The Governor of West Bengal, Jagdeep Dhankhar, stated that his relationship with the State Government has been improving for some time.
Addressing the media in the State Guest House of Siliguri, today, he stated that he held discussions regarding various issues with the Chief Minister, other State Government officials along with Minister Partho Chatterjee and Amit Mitra.
The Governor further stated that during the state elections, incidents of violence occur due to which the common people are in a state of panic. At the same time, the Governor condemned the role of the Police and stated that the Police should not work for any political party but for the common people.
The Governor stated that there were several reasons for the rift between him and the Government. However, their relationship has been improving.
