IT Premier League organised in Siliguri, promotes sportsmanship and camaraderie

Siliguri, 22nd February: A cricket tournament titled ‘IT Premier League’ was organised at Ramakrishna Maidan in Siliguri on the initiative of North Bengal IT Representatives. Members of the IT representatives’ community actively participated in the event, with a total of six teams competing in the tournament.


It was informed that preparations for the competition had been underway for the past three months, with players engaging in regular practice sessions. The ground witnessed a festive atmosphere throughout the event.

Mayukh Deb, associated with the organisers, stated that the tournament has been held for the past three years. With sponsorship support from various institutions, efforts are made each year to organise the event on a larger scale.


He added that after three months of consistent practice, there are plans to make the tournament even more grand in the future.

At the conclusion of the competition, winning and participating teams were awarded mementos, gifts and attractive prizes.

According to the organisers, the initiative aims to foster mutual camaraderie, stronger professional relationships and a spirit of healthy competition among employees in the IT sector.
