INTTUC submits memorandum demanding arrest of suspects in NJP Rajaholi incident

Siliguri, 05th November: Members of the Siliguri Town Block-3 Indian National Trinamool Trade Union Congress (INTTUC) submitted a memorandum at the NJP police station on Monday night, urging authorities to swiftly apprehend the individuals allegedly responsible for a recent fatal assault in NJP’s Rajaholi area.


The incident reportedly occurred last Friday, when a man identified as Mohammad Johri was allegedly assaulted and killed by a group of local youths over a ‘Dadagiri Tax.’ As per sources, some youths in the area demanded Rs 500 from Johri. When he refused, a confrontation ensued, escalating into a violent altercation involving Johri’s family and the youths. Johri sustained serious injuries in the assault and was taken to Siliguri District Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

Following the incident, Johri’s family filed a complaint at the NJP police station, but as of now, the accused remain at large.


On Monday night, Siliguri Town Block-3 INTTUC members visited the NJP police station to submit a memorandum, calling for the immediate arrest of the suspects involved.
