Siliguri, 03rd August: The members of NJP’s INTTUC, on Monday, staged a protest, alleging that external workers are being appointed for the construction work at the railway guest house. Workers protested by closing the gate of the guest house adjacent to New Jalpaiguri station.
In this context, Prasenjit Roy, President of the Trinamool Congress Workers’ organization, stated that while local workers had been hired for various railway construction projects for the past several days, other workers are currently working on it. Hence, they staged protest today and further warned of staging larger demonstrations if their demands are not met soon.
