Siliguri, 01st October: On Sunday, a blood donation camp, eye check and health check up camp were organized under the initiative of INTTUC (Indian National Trinamool Trade Union Congress), Siliguri town Block-III in cooperation with Siliguri Lions Netralaya and North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH).
The event witnessed the presence of Siliguri Municipal Corporation Chairman Pratul Chakraborty and others.
According to reports, the camps were organised at the INTTUC office. Along with blood donation, several individuals underwent a health check up. The collected blood will be sent to NBMCH and to Lions Club Blood Bank.
Speaking at the event, Sujay Sarkar, INTTUC President, of Siliguri Town Block-III, stated that the initiative has been undertaken in view of the requirements of the citizens of Siliguri. He added that the members of the INTTUC have donated their blood.
