Siliguri, 21st December: Indian National Trinamool Trade Union Congress (INTTUC) submitted a memorandum to the railway official regarding multiple demands of railway hawkers.
It has been alleged that the railway hawkers are being harassed in various ways and are struggling to make ends meet.
Hundreds of INTTUC workers staged a rally and protested in front of the DRM office today. Later, a memorandum was handed over to the railway official.
Convener of the organization Sujoy Sarkar said that a memorandum was issued today regarding their demands. If their demands are not met, the workers will stage an indefinite dharna in front of the railway office.
