Siliguri, 25th August: Keeping in mind the upcoming Puja season, Indian Railways launched a special train for pilgrims of the north-eastern border. In this regard, the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation held a press conference at the Siliguri Journalists Club on Wednesday.
Biswajit Das, Tourism In-charge of the Guwahati office, said that a special train ‘Pilgrim Special Tourist Train’ will run from Agartala to Goa from September 30. Sleeper, AC room and meals and even safety equipment will be provided to all the passengers. The train is said to depart with 80 percent of passengers.
Das further said that tickets will be available on the website and regional office of the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation.
