Siliguri, 26th March: To prevent the further spread of the COVID-19, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced a lockdown across the entire country for the next 21 days from Tuesday midnight. In such a situation, people without a roof over their heads are facing a lot of difficulties.
Keeping in mind their helpless situation, the journalists of Siliguri came forward to serve them. Through the help of social media, several journalists urged the common people to provide eatables (cake, biscuits, bread) and water to the needy people wandering around the streets of Siliguri.

However, due to the lockdown, no one was able to step out of their houses. Therefore, the journalists themselves visited their residences and collected the eatables and handed over to hundreds of poor people in the streets.
