India monitoring minority conditions in Bangladesh, states Foreign Minister in Parliament

News Desk: In a statement addressing the ongoing political instability in Bangladesh, India’s External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar highlighted that India is closely monitoring the minority conditions until the restoration of law and order.


Additionally, Minister Jaishankar informed an all-party meeting that India has assured help to former Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, who arrived in India.

On Tuesday, Home Minister Amit Shah held a meeting with Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar and National Security Advisor Ajit Doval at Parliament in Delhi. Reportedly, the discussions primarily centered around the necessary security developments in the country in view of the ongoing unrest in Bangladesh.
