Birpara, 17th March: The forest personnel of the Dalgaon Range launched a campaign and seized illegal woods from a pickup van in the Malangi Road area. However, the smugglers managed to escape.
Ranger Dorji Sherpa of the Dalgaon Range stated that based on a tip-off, a campaign was launched and illegal woods were seized. The market value of seized woods has been estimated to be 1.5 lakh rupees. The accused are currently being searched.
