Siliguri, 26th February: Acting on specific input SOG of Siliguri Police Commissionerate with the assistance of Bhaktinagar Police, late Friday, apprehended three persons at Sahidnagar More under Bhaktinagar police station area and recovered 593 grams of brown sugar from their joint possession. The arrested have been identified as namely Sekhawaat Biswas of Srirampur (Kaliachak – Malda), Abdul Majid of Khaltipur Mominpara (Kaliachak – Malda) and Ashim Akram of Bhagalpur, Nawada Judupur (Kaliachak – Malda).
All three-drug traffickers were arrested and taken into custody. A specific case under the relevant sections of the NDPS Act is being initiated at Bhaktinagar Police Station. Reportedly, the value of the seized narcotics is 1 crore 15 lakh rupees.
