Siliguri, 03rd April: In a significant breakthrough, the cops of Asighar Outpost busted illegal liquor business operated from a residence. Significantly, a huge quantity of liquor has been recovered by the police. The arrested accused has been identified as Tapan Sarkar.
As per reports,Tapan was operating the unauthorized business from his house in an area under Ashighar Outpost for a long time. The accused had stocked a huge quantity of liquor resembling a warehouse within the residence.
Acting on a tip-off, the Ashighar Outpost officials raided the residence on Tuesday night. During the raid, liquor worth lakhs was recovered which prompted Tapan Sarkar’s arrest. On Wednesday, the accused has been produced before the Jalpaiguri court. At present, the police are engaged in further investigation.
