Siliguri, 22nd February: The Lions Club of Siliguri Sunrise organized the Futsal tournament at the Level Up Stadium, Siliguri. A total of 8 teams participated in the series.
The winners of the exciting tournament were Hurricane FC, with Daksh Thapa titled as the Man of the Series. The Hurricane FC team comprised of Rocky Singh (captain), Rajat Choudhary, Siddhant Sahu, Rahul Sharma, Vijay Thapa, Daksh Thapa, Shubham Thirani, Kunal Chhetri. Filled with determination and enthusiasm, they truly justify the name hurricane and successfully showed their true potential throughout the tournament.
In the League rounds, Hurricane FC defeated Classic strikers by a scoreline of 6-1, followed by the match played against Dynamic with a scoreline of 8-2 which qualified the team for the semi-final with one game remaining in the league rounds. Then, in the semi-finals, Hurricane FC defeated Crusaders making it to the final.
In the final match of the tournament, Hurricane FC made a clean sweep over the Invisibles with a convincing victory margin of 7-3 and lifting the trophy of the tournament.
