Alipurduar, 31st August: After waiting in queues at Jasodanga Rural Hospital since last night, hundreds of angry women protested at the hospital premises in Alipurduar over COVID vaccination.
Despite their long wait, the health workers at the hospital, on Tuesday, said that only those whose names were registered would be vaccinated today. This sparked anger among the women following which they started protesting.
Later, the Shamuktala police and local Pradhan reached the spot and assured to vaccinate them tomorrow. The situation normalized after a while.
