Huge quantity of intoxicating tablets and cough syrup recovered from pharmacy in Matigara, one arrested

Siliguri, 21st July: The Special Operation Group (SOG) arrested a shopkeeper for selling banned tablets and cough syrup in his pharmacy. The accused has been identified as Amit Barman.


Reportedly,  the SOG today launched a campaign in several drugstores located in the Panchakulguri under the Matigara police station area. During the campaign, about twenty bottles of banned cough syrup and more than ten thousand pieces of intoxicant tablets were recovered from a pharmacy. After which the SOG arrested the shopkeeper. Later, the SOG handed over the arrested accused along with the seized items to Matigara police for further action.
