Siliguri, 06th November: In a significant breakthrough, the cops of Matigara police station recovered a huge quantity of banned firecrackers from a residence located in the Tumba Jote area of Siliguri. Following this, an individual identified as Abhishek Kumar Singh was arrested, in connection to the case.
As per reports, on Monday, acting on a tip-off, Matigara police launched an operation and raided a residence in the said area and seized the banned items. Subsequently, Abhishek was arrested for storing the banned firecrackers. The market value of the seized firecrackers is estimated to be over Rs 50 thousand. The accused will be produced before the Siliguri court on Tuesday.
