Siliguri, 08th June: A massive python has been rescued from the Baneshwar More area of the Eastern Bypass near Siliguri, causing quite a stir among local residents.
On Friday night, the residents of Khudiram Pally in Baneswar More spotted the enormous snake and quickly alerted the authorities. As word spread, a large crowd gathered to catch a glimpse of the python.
The forest department was promptly informed, and their workers arrived swiftly to rescue the reptile. According to forest department sources, the python measures approximately 9 feet in length and is believed to have wandered into the area from a nearby forest.
The forest workers have announced that the python will be safely released back into the Baikunthapur forest.
